Globex supports Suffolk FA in celebration of local football achievements

on 29 June 2017

Globex Managing Director Andy Wilding has joined a host of special guests at a recent awards ceremony to celebrate Suffolk footballing success.

Globex has been a sponsor of the Suffolk Football Association’s Referee Academy for the last four years and was invited to present an award at their Awards Evening held on Friday 23rd June at Trinity Park.

The awards recognise and highlight dedication and excellence in various areas of football in the county, such as long service, best groundsman, best affiliated league, best charter standard club and best community club.

Andy was asked to present the long service award to referee Daryl Butcher, who has been refereeing for the FA for 25 years.

Andy said “It was a real honour to be asked to present this award as part of this celebration of the fantastic footballing community we have in the county.

“Daryl has been providing a key service to our local clubs for 25 years and it is right that he is thanked and recognised for this work.  It’s very important for us to support grassroots football through Globex and we look forward to supporting both the Referee Academy and our local team, Felixstowe and Walton FC, throughout the coming season.”
